The P O E M I S T
Deep, Moving Water
Spiked, light-splashes on quiet water,
Floating outward from shore to dark.
Restless reflections always dancing,
Magic paper, shifting, left unmarked.
Pale-glow harlequin-like shadows
Creeping slowly, ever moving, faraway.
Shimmering, languid, liquid landscape,
Refusing concept, recognition, cast thoughts astray.
Rising, falling, ever moving,
Reflecting consciousness: a shore-bound sea.
Deep, dark wishes; mood controlling,
Moon's conveyor, dream's mimicry.
